Bernie Madoff, the financer who pleaded guilty to running the largest Ponzi scheme in history, has died at the age of 82, The Associated Press reported.
Madoff died from natural causes, a source told AP.
His lawyers asked for Madoff to be released from prison in 2020 because he was suffering from renal disease and chronic medical problems, the news service noted, adding that he request was denied. LINK

Hope this is the first of “they die in threes”.

Congratulations to the people he defrauded.
Didn’t his son commit suicide due to the last name?

He got to live a billionaire lifestyle for decades and only had to spend 11 years after age 70 in jail for it. I feel like a lot of people would take that trade

If he actually wanted that award, he'd have worked for the Social Security Administration.
Yet another proof that the federal government hates competition.

Sarcasm, right? Because I saw the tweet and either a lot of others played along with the sarcasm or some people really think he's some sort of hero.
It's so hard to tell these days.
