Silly name, just meant to target an easy bogeyman.

Just call it the "Anti-Dog-Eat-Dog Act" and be done with it.

They've also destroyed a lot of small towns and businesses.

True. I can't find a decent buggy whip anywhere these days.

Raising minimum wages has several bad effects. Nothing positive at all for those at or just above minimum wage. It raises the cost of goods and services so your dollar isn’t worth as much. It also motivates companies to eliminate jobs, like putting in the self order kiosks. If your are making just above minimum wage, you won’t get a raise. In fact it has the opposite effect. Dems are dumb and count on you being dumber to vote for them.

And then a local retailer with smaller inventory opens to service the area

Sorry, but why should WM pay unskilled people $15/hr to play on their phones and not help customers?

OK Bern. What do you think someone qualified to run the #1 company on the Forbes 500 is worth? At least as important. What do you think the monetary difference between having someone qualified vs unqualified? I'll bet it's more than $22M.

Bernie is quite frankly, just a stupid person.

Meh. The shifted away from the model that was causing this problem nearly 20 years ago.

and businesses.

Destroying a business who cannot provide a service to their fellow Americans for a rate those fellow Americans consider competitive isn't really a bad thing.

It's true actually. My dad is from Little Rock and the family knows people in Bentonville. My grandpa told me back in the 80s when I was a kid that Wal-Mart had a "takeover" division. Even back then they would meet regularly and look at maps and data to find the most strategic place to put a Wal-mart to put as many Mom & Pops out of business as possible in a square mile radius, therefore hurting small towns and driving business out, therefore driving people out of those towns. And this was before they got into food and grocery products.
