I have a feeling ABC will not be asking on its nightly news program tonight how Disney can make $9 billion in profits while three-quarters of Disneyland employees can’t afford basic living expenses.

Does anyone else think it is kind of ironic that so many people on the left claim that we need to be more sharing with others, yet turn around and call on businesses to provide the funds to raise living standards instead of the community as a whole?

Why should businesses be charities?

Also, Bernie's tweet is grossly misleading because it doesn't indicate what % of revenue that profit represents.

Subjectively ambiguous term is subjectively ambiguous to stimulate the emotion of greed in the form of envy.

I hope people are smart enough to see through this communist tactic. But I doubt many are.

Just trying to change the narrative with more lies. He has no idea the living conditions of any Disney employees much less 3/4 of them.

And a huge portion of our country actually wanted this ignorant old communist bastard to be our president.

Let's for the sake of argument say that 75% of Disney employees are living in poverty by Bernie's standards...the good news in a capitalistic society like America that standard is very temporary. "Poor" people have the best opportunity to move up the economic ladder than any country in the world.

Under Bernie's vision of a centrally planned economy that opportunity would be nil and most of these Disney employees would be poverty stricken for the rest of their lives.

Here’s a hint, Bernie... a shite ton of that revenue does NOT come from the parks.

A lot of the park employees and resort employees are imports who are housed in Disney dorms IIRC.

Of course, someone from a frozen shithole isn’t going to complain about being underpaid to work in sunny Florida.

It's nonsensical Marxism, regardless. The EMPLOYEES of a business are not entitled to profit-sharing, per se. Some employees have stock purchase agreements, profit sharing plans, etc., but for the most part a line employee, particularly entry up to semiskilled workers negotiate an hourly rate or salary in exchange for their labor.

If they want to participate in the profits of a publicly traded company - BUY STOCK WITH YOUR OWN MONEY LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.

I love how broke-arse, "never worked a private job" commies like Bernie want to spend other people's money all the time.

So... wait. Are you telling me a communist doesn’t understand how capitalism works?

Sure am glad the dnc had enough sense to rig their primary to keep him from getting the nomination. Not that he would have beat Trump, but that retard shouldnt be allowed anywhere near having a chance to sit in the oval office

Since it’s Disney, let’s see how this plays out.
