It's not like he could drive off the bridge and drown her, no one would ever believe that story.

According to Anna Dobbins, a producer at WEAR-TV, Joe was on the phone with the local ABC affiliate in Pensacola within three hours of the discovery of the body, and before the family was notified, to say that "a young woman had died in his office and that she had a complicated medical history, specifically surrounding 'stroke and epilepsy.'"

The congressman and his advisor, Mick Serrano, made similar calls to two other local media outlets within hours of the body's discovery.

According to Dobbins and others, about a week later, after the Klausutis family wrote an excoriating letter to a local paper, Serrano called back to ask that they stop reporting the "complicated health history."

Joe, they were now correctly told, had spoken in error.

I had heard she was a marathon runner. I could barely run 3 miles in my prime.

Closed in the same manner that Tara Reade's case was "looked at" by the NYT?

Can we not have another peek?

DeSantis' state.

One factor to consider if he doesn't act -- IMHO we are in an era where Republicans all know that, if they irk the Dem power structure too much, that Retribution will be extracted at some future point.

De Santis may figure that it's better not to give Dems a reason to retaliate against him personally.

Floppy Mitral Valve Disease is usually found in older males, not young females.

To get that much head trauma, she must have fallen and bounced around like her head was in a pinball machine.

RIP.

Yes, thank god that poster isn't POTUS. I know progs would love for America have our first mentally handicapped POTUS because "diversity", but it'd be a disaster for obvious reasons.

Does anyone really think that if Scarborough wanted her dead, he’d murder her in his office? Come on man!

Well, unless he’s a goddam serial killer, it was almost certainly a crime of passion resulting from an argument.

It’s not odd that Joe called the TV station before the cops called her parents

It is odd. If you don't think it's odd you are part of what is wrong with this country.

Step 1: call 911.

No one calls the TV station upon finding a dead body in your office. No one. Unless you have to seed a particular narrative in the media.

and Joe was in DC....so maybe her husband? but he was out of town? and aside from the medical examiner, the police would have suspected foul play too but they didnt

The constituents who found her body called the police...why would Joe, who was in DC, call the police?

Flight time from Florida to DC is 2 hours. He called 3 hours later. So the two get in a fight about something he does something stupid in a fit of rage and freaks out leaves her there and immediately calls his lawyer to figure out what to do. Lawyer calls in what amounts to a death squad and has Joe head off to DC to be far away. Once landed and with the knowledge the cleaner has...dealt with the problem, he makes his calls. Timeline fits and Joe is now beholden to play the game forever.

Thinking further, Joe is quite a guilt ridden weak link in the chain of corruption. Makes sense to keep attacking at it. If it breaks the whole chain falls apart.

Are Joe's travel records available during this time? Would be interested in his flight schedule to DC. I'm assuming he departed out of Panama City or even Eglin.

And travel records probably vanished.
