Baltimore Student Passes 3 Classes in 4 Years, Ranks Near Half w/ 0.13 GPA

FOX 45 News Baltimore uncovered a shocking story when they learned a high school student who passed only three classes in four years, with a GPA of 0.13, is somehow ranked near the top half of his class.

Tiffany France, mother of the student, is astonished to learn that her son is being sent back to the 9th grade after thinking he was about to graduate.

"He's stressed and I am too. I told him I'm probably going to start crying. I don't know what to do for him. Why would he do three more years in school? He didn't fail, the school failed him. The school failed at their job. They failed. They failed, that's the problem here. They failed. They failed. He didn't deserve that," she told FOX 45.

The student attends Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in west Baltimore City. According to FOX 45, his transcripts show he passed only three classes in four years, earning 2.5 credits. That would place him as a freshman according to the number of credits earned. France says she had no idea about this until February. She thought since he was being moved on to other classes, it meant he was doing well enough to be on track to graduate.

His transcripts reportedly show that he failed Spanish I and Algebra I, but he was placed in Spanish II and Algebra II. He also failed English II but was placed in English III.

FOX 45 uncovered that the boy failed 22 classes and was late or absent 272 days. Only one teacher reportedly requested a conference with France despite the staggering numbers.

The schools may have failed. But the mother, not unexpectedly, is taking no responsibility. That damn systemic racism of low expectations.....

Democrats need an ignorant electorate to hold power. Their policies and ideas are rejected by anyone not educated on twitter.

Dammit, this means at least half of the students passed four or MORE classes in 4 years.

We have to be positive, build that self-esteem, because unwarranted self-esteem plus a race card will get you far!

There are all sorts of guilty white leftists that are clamoring to at least get their picture taken with a couple of these kids to virtue signal.

Four years.

In FOUR YEARS this parent never thought once to look at their teenage child's grades.

FOUR. YEARS.

And that's solely the SCHOOL'S fault??? Seems to me there's an equal share of blame to go around... School, child, parent(s).

This strong beautiful parent didn’t give a enough of a shite about her kid to have any single idea what his grades were at any time for 4 entire years.

Never helped him with homework. Never asked him how he was doing. Never interacted with a teacher. Never saw a test grade or exam grade. Didn’t go to a single parent teacher conference. Didn’t look at a single grade or report card. Nothing. Not a single smidgeon of interest in her child’s learning until today. And it’s not her fault.

The government failed this child and this “parents”absolute 100% solution will be to continue to let the government raise her children with no input other than occasional beatings and claim government needs more control over people’s lives.

That’s an absolutely crushingly depressing reality for most kids growing up in poverty.

I saw this on twitter earlier and this was the top comment

In all seriousness, this is sad. When the kid is absent over 200 days, its not the schools fault. There is a lack of accountability at home. Until its addressed these issues will continue.

That is quite true and it is also true that our government gives exactly this type of kid more incentive to breed than any other type.

That is why we are awash in ignorant people - the ignorant do most of the breeding, it is like there is a concerted effort to disprove Darwin.
