Baker's admission is another sign that despite what Attorney General William Barr said earlier this year, Inspector General Michael Horowitz's investigation may not be completed by early June.

A focus of Horowitz's investigation is the FBI's use of an unverified dossier on President Trump's ties to Russia, written by British ex-spy Christopher Steele, to obtain warrants to surveil onetime Trump campaign official Carter Page.

The narrative is already set....Bill Barr is Trump's personal lawyer. Anything he finds or says is tainted because he is biased. That is that.

I don't really trust his investigation. Plus, it has no teeth. It also seems like "behind the scenes"--FBI maybe?--is dragging this out on purpose.

Cali, I would have agreed with you, before Barr. That last investigation of Horowitz where he showed overwhelming abuse....and then gave it to fbi for wray to recommend sensitivity training so agents might better understand leaking information and taking bribes is wrong.

But Barr said he would take oversight personally during his approval process. I believe that was a clear sign to Horowitz publicly that "you will do the right thing this time".

Hopefully, for the sake of the Republic, we are right.

I know when it will be finished. On December 1, 2020. That way public opinion of Trump will lower to 30% right before the election. A democrat will win the presidency and they will flip the senate. It will go exactly as they planned. Nobody in government will tell their subordinates I want this assignment done by this deadline. IG Horowitz should be told to wrap it up by September 1. Democrats play the long game.

Barr needs to set a date like no later than July and tell IG to wrap it up.
