Talk about a blast from the past. I think this was originally done about Obama in 2012, but the SOB won anyway.

USSC justices do not work for the Executive branch or the POTUS. Should any one of them want to resign, they wouldn't be sending a letter of resignation to the POTUS. They would just send out a press release after having notified the Chief Justice.

I doubt she would resign. Even if she is planning to retire, she would likely try to make it to at least June when they release many of their opinions.

If she does retire, she simply sends a letter to the White House, the President doesn’t need to accept it or anything. Even the letter is just a customary thing.

They notify the WH first thing to ensure their replacement. The WH knows before the announcement goes on the SCOTUS page, this I can tell you happens for all Presidents.

They generally send a letter notifying the President. I do love your confidence, despite your ignorance.

What I’m saying is the President doesn’t have to chose whether or not to accept her resignation like he does for Cabinet members. Justices just send a letter to the President to inform the President of their resignation/retirement.

I have a strong propensity toward complete disregard of rumors.

However, if actually true, I do believe we actually will finally see mass, organized violence from the Left.

RBG isn’t some evil person.

It’s her party that has become evil.

I could see it happening. It's insane that it hasn't happened already though. She is in terrible shape. Kinda feel bad for her. Can't wait until she is the most hated women in the world by the left now though

Honestly if she does this I would gain a lot of respect for her.
I have huge respect for RBG. I certainly hope the Donald has a chance to appoint her replacement. I also hope her resignation is on her own terms. I have the same feeling, but stronger re: Stephen Breyer. I wish RGB would outlive each of the other three Liberal SOBs on the Court. Unfortunately, no, she won't.

Hard to write any type of letter, much less resignation, when she’s already dead.

He is the next oldest. And I have seen some here clamor about Thomas, he is young compared to Breyer and RBG.
