The Scandinavian countries and the eastern portion of Central and Northern Europe seem to be getting on just fine.

5 Privacy rights- I can go on any person's land and steal their mushrooms and berries. Asians make a killing here doing it and then sending the berries to China. It's called "Everyman's right" law.

All my Finish friends love living there. Maybe from an American POV Finland seems not so great by our standard of freedoms

Yes he did. It was law to have all guns registered.
You have to have a license to own a gun. In order to get the license you have to be part of a club. Such as a hunting club or a shooting range group. He went a few years without joining any clubs. Then in the 90s Finns had some kids shoot up a school. The Finnish police were forced to go collect guns from all these registered owners who didn't renew their licenses.
