Scalise wouldn't do it because he has too much power in DC and most likely has an eye on the White House at some point. Jeff Landry is auditioning for a Washington spot too so he doesn't want the governorship either. I thought Kennedy would have tried it but he probably likes the Washington power too.

Apparently those educated republicans are limited solely to the New Orleans area. Hmmm

I've heard Joe Brady is a HUGE conservative.

Ardoin had no real opposition.
He ran versus a black.
She spent almost nothing.

Agreed what did any of that have to do with what was really important.2 of those things are federal concerns.

After Jindal, Vitter, and Rispone maybe the GOP fence voters wanted a better choice. Also comparing state Gov to Hillary Clinton is some 3rd grade shite. It's laughable the commercials that Rispone played. It's not a national election trying to make it one failed.
I voted for JBE, there was no 3rd party for my vote. The GOP would have had my vote pretty easy if someone besides Lane Grigsby's lap dog was running. No way i am voting for super majority in this state with the GOV being the second largest donor in the state.

I'm finding out today people I know voted Edwards and then mostly Republican the rest of the way. I admonished some.

This state has a lot of "Republicans" that are social conservatives but like big government.

Why do you believe they voted for JBE? The only evidence I have seen to support your claim is official election returns. Seems like pretty weak evidence to me.

sky screaming about shite like that is what turns people off. just like trump coming to LA and calling edwards a radical...we know this isnt true, and people dont like being lied to on such elementary shite.
you either agree with edwards' policy positions or you dont...god knows there's enough there to hammer him on. he is so deep into the pockets of the sheriff's association that he cant wipe his arse without their approval, and if you think the typical parish sheriff's governance model is a good one, then you really are stupid.
but he's transparently NOT what trump and rispone said he was, they completely mis-read the electorate here, and followed the "call the opponent silly names at a rally" tactic. it didnt work, and in a way i'm glad it didnt, as apparently there are at least some voters here who arent that stupid

Completely agree with you. Rispone fricked up launching dishonest ads against Abraham early on and then Trump's push to paint Edwards as some radical leftist was absolutely disingenuous. However, the crazy thing is that many voters bit that shite sandwich.
Like you said, there is plenty to criticize Edwards over...no reason to make up bullshite.

Incumbancy has power. The root cause of the plague of JBE originates with Republican women that would not vote for Vitter because of sex four years ago. Their stupidity is still causing damage.

And had Rispone ran on anything other than I like Trump and LSU would fire the water boy; I'm sure some of those voters would have given him a shot.

If this was the case, then they would not have voted Ardoin.

He supports the 2nd amendment, served in the military, is pro life, believes in the concept of marriage between one man and one woman, balanced our budget, hunts, and Rispone was a horrible candidate.
Without Trump, Rispone maybe gets 42% of the vote

Rispone lost because he ran a shitty campaign that alienated too many people in the end.
His campaign was staffed and run by carpetbagger morons that had zero clue or any respect as to how Louisiana politics work and the importance of building a coalition of voters that can win the election.
They thought that just because Louisiana is a red state they expected Abraham voters to do their duty and fall in with Rispone. That was a very dangerous and stupid assumption to make in a state election where people are more flexible with their vote and the election is not an emergent do or die situation to them like Trump and Hillary.

I can bear witness to one thing re immigration...I know young entrepreneurs who have a need for low-skilled/working people...and but for hungry immigrants who'll show up...they'd be out of business. Heard this for the last 25 years.
