Apparently there are concentration camps in the US?

I was informed tonight by my very liberal and progressive sister that there are concentration camps in US. This came as a surprise to me, so I decided to hear her justification for such an outrageous statement.

First, I asked where? She relied, "somewhere in Texas."

To which, I asked her to show me where exactly. Her response was, "I'm not even going to continue to talk about this because everything you say is bullshite", which is obviously because I hold many conservative views, and don't shy around defending my opinions via discourse, one of which being that conflating actual concentration camps (holocaust implication goes without having to be said, but apparently she thought it was necessary to read me the definition for the sake of displaying typical progressive mental gymnastics) with what the families, who committed a crime by illegally crossing the border, are being detained in, is abhorrent, and a false equivalency because everyone knows the allusion being made when the Left uses the term "concentration camp".

Her response, mainly in regards to my political viewpoints, was that I'm just an angry white male who listens to Joe Rogan (whom she apparently detests, but has yet to give me a definitive answer as to why). I accused her of deploying the same tactic as the Left so eagerly hides behind by compartmentalizing people into subgroups based on their group identity (which sounds very racist imo), and then labeling that person they disagree with as a racist, sexist, homophobe etc. to silence that differing viewpoint.

It's been dead quiet in the room now for about 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, I think this kind of instance happens all too often, but these are the time we live in. Maybe one day Progressives will abandon this approach, but for the time being I guess they'll keep increasing the numbers of their opposition by alienating and mislabeling them, or maybe they think they can combat it by granting enough criminals citizenship and voting rights in hopes they'll all do their part and contribute to the Democratic Plantation.

PS - still waiting to see these so called concentration camps in the US...somewhere in Texas...derp...
