Had two roommates at USNA that got into a discussion about it:
1: “You expect me to believe that we landed on the moon before we had color tv? I don’t think so.”
2: “I’ve always heard that there were people who denied the moon landing…just never thought I’d actually meet one.”

I personally Know Charlie - he is one of the finest men I know. There is so much footage of the later apollo mission - it would have been impossible to fake with the tech at the time. Anyone who thinks we didnt go to the moon is a moron.

You don’t use fuel to get to the moon. You do a short burn and let earths gravity and the moons gravity do the work.

That's the one gripe I might have with the sci-fi series The Expanse. Always showing the engines glowing, thrusters producing a full cone of exhaust plume. They'd get the flip correct, to slow down the ships, but always the engines are engaged. Now, they were using nuclear pellets for fuel, but still.. Maybe the series didn't do the technical stuff justice.

That burn requires a lot of fuel because you are using quite a bit of thrust to get up to enough speed to escape the earth's gravitational pull. This is why the Saturn V flew in three stages. The first two stages were designed to get it to earth orbit while the third stage was designed to get it to a speed fast enough to escape earth's gravity.

3rd stage fired twice, final burn was a long way away from Earth's gravity. It was to correctly position them for translunar injection.

They fired the S-IVB while still in earth orbit. The TLI burn usually came on the fourth orbit around the earth.

I just don't take a side. I say we probably did land on the moon, but I also say unequivocally that I would NOT AT ALL be surprised if we faked it.
But ask yourself this:
NASA tells us that we can't get back to the moon at this time because we don't have the technology to pass through the Van Allen Radiation Belt. But we had that technology 56 years ago when we first landed on the moon? Make that make sense.
Either we faked it and really didn't go, or we really did have extraterrestrial technology from UFO/UAP crashes (roswell?) that we repurposed for our own vehicles and expended to make those trips, but we cannot reproduce even after six decades. That's the only two options that make sense to me.
We didn't just "lose" world-changing technology. It was someone/something else's technology and we used it up, or we hoaxed the whole thing to pwn the Reds.

There is NO WAY we went to the moon - the thrust from the rocket would have to have been so strong that the FLAT EARTH would have been knocked off the TURTLE'S BACK! DUUHUUH!
