To strzok? I’m guessing zero, but why would the FBI council him not to answer?

quote:

How many people did Strzok interview during the first eight days of the FBI's Russia investigation, between July 31 and Aug. 8, 2016?

Strzok, as he previewed in his opening statement, said he had been advised by the FBI's lawyers that he was not to address specifics of what is still an ongoing investigation.

They didnt fire Strzok so he could hide behind that Justice Dept manual, which states JD employees are forbidden from commenting on ongoing investigations.

False. Gowdy wouldn't be asking it if he didn't have a good reason to do so. Remember, he's seen docs we haven't.

Good point, if he no longer works there, how can that be an excuse?

FWIW, the FBI disputes ever telling Stzrok he could not answer that question. "Disputes" meaning lawyers for the FBI approached Gowdy during the break and said Stzrok could indeed answer. So Gowdy was allowed to re-pose the question, and Stzrok again refused to answer . . . . this time, he claimed not to remember.

It's not false, the reason he was asking because on the 8th Strzok made inflammatory text messages about the President or how he was guilty. Gowdy was pointing that that Strzok had conclusions or bias, prior to a single interview being conducted.

Nevermind, I see the logic now. Carry on.
