i was only 9. just wondering how the media was treating it prior to the election back then. Were they showing Mondale even close in the polls (or possibly leading) or was it pretty much a given that Reagan was going to crush him?

Freshman in college. If this election is on the up & up, it will be similar. It won’t be on the up & up, but the good guys will still win.

Yes. Freshmen year at LSU for me. Voted for Reagan. Media wasn't as pervasive because of technology then, but it was almost half as bad as it is now. They tried to mask their prog filth back then. Now they don't even try to hide their complete lack of ethics and the filthy whoring lies that they fabricate to attempt to define a narrative.

Yes, they actually showed Mondale up in some instances until just before the election. Ridiculous.

I would have been old enough to vote in 72 but I don't remember voting for him. I was tricked into the nice guy Jimmy Carter and voted for him in 76. Have voted Republican starting with Reagan and ever since. Gerald Ford just didn't do it for me so I went with Carter.

I'm old enough but I don't remember.
Of course back then the media wasn't as bad as it is now.

After the debate where they asked Regan about his age...

And he responded that ...

He would not for political purposes exploit his opponents youth and inexperience

The election was over
