Neither side really wants him to testify. The Dems don't want it because they fear that Mueller will tell them that the whole Russia thing was a shitshow from jump and all it did was coerce people into doing things that could be construed as "obstruction" without an underlying crime. Republicans don't want him testifying because they fear that the info will show what an unmitigated chaotic mess the internal workings of the White House are
