The 51-year-old music industry veteran, whose group Brand Nubian were popular in hip-hop’s golden era, was asked during a recent interview with Turning Point USA whether he supports the BLM movement, to which he responded: “No. Absolutely not.”

When asked to elaborate on why he doesn’t support the group, Lord Jamar said: “Because this isn’t our movement.

“It’s a movement that was given to us by, you know, George Soros and his f**king boys. Because they saw how things were going and they didn’t want it to go back to the 60s – to where we start having our own, organic movement.”

I'd rather an opponent I can negotiate with and coexist with than an opponent who is a zealot.

Good for him. I hope people will listen to what he has to say instead of falling for all of the obvious manipulation

What a powerful 60 second clip that was. I admire this man greatly for what he said.

It helped me realize that I’m honestly all for black empowerment. What I’m not for is Marxist DNC bullshite stealing all the oxygen from having anything to do with true black empowerment.

Some will. Most won't. But all we need is "some" each time so long as people keep speaking out.

The Democratic party is about to go the way of the dinosaur.

I'm afraid that Black America will either embrace BLM or have no Black Power Movement whatsoever. Those who think that they are going to have their own "organic" movement are absolutely, completely and dangerously (for their own sake) mistaken.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist Movement and any Black Power that might arise here in the USA will arise through BLM and Marxism. There will be no "organic" Black Power Movement outside and separate from the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement.

Huey Newton and the original Black Panther movement were outspoken Marxists. MARXISM will be the ONLY vehicle allowed for Black Power in the USA.

That's my opinion, anyway.

Black entrepreneurial movements and programs would do a world of good in local communities. Black men and women are born entrepreneurs.

I’d happily donate my time to such a program.

Definition of the word "Zealot"

A person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals.

Adhering to that almost requires a sense of delusion.

That's what conservatives should aim for, leave politics alone. Funny thing it's exactly what Frederick Douglas and Booker T. Washington pushed for.

That's okay with me. Although I may not agree, I respect a man (or woman) who can think critically for himself.

Rand Paul is always for AA empowerment, he said so in his speech at Howard. Those were the days. Too bad Trump mania has sidelined the Paul College speaking tour.
