It also wouldn't surprise me if sales of this game are not good, towards the end of the year there will be a quiet announcement that this clown stepped down to "pursue other opportunities".
Well since the CEO took over a little less than 5 years ago, on average, their revenue has grown by 6.2% per year, but more importantly their earnings have grown by 53.0% per year, and their stock has grown by 42.7% per year.

So maybe they know what they're doing afterall.

“Know what they are doing” is a relative distinction.

They’ve figured out how to get golden geese like Madden and FIFA to keep laying eggs through annual releases and sales of in game currency.

The problem comes when they try to make everything else like those two and it doesn’t work. At that point they shoot the other product line to put it out of its misery and blame the fans for not buying it instead of themselves for trying to turn a cow into a goose.

That’s actually pretty weak in an industry that’s growing ~10% per year.

Revenue isn't growing as fast, but their earnings have increased substantially.

Just look at another big publicly traded company like Activision: their revenue in 2014 was 19.4 billion and grew to 28.3 billion in 2017, a 43.5% increase. On the other hand, their earnings in 2014 was 4.7 billion but decreased to 3.5 billion in 2017, a 25.3% decerase.

EA's revenue grew from 15.0 billion in 2014 to 20.0 billion in 2017, a much smaller 33.4% increase (rounded), yet their earnings went from 0.4 billion in 2014 to 4.3 billion in 2017, a 956.1% increase.

Overall both have done well if you look at the long term trends, much better than take-two software, which seems to rely on the release of Grand Theft Auto or other major game to generate get about a little profit for about a year, then right back in the negative for a year or two.

In fact, besides not having a dividend, EA us functioning like a value stock company, as much as one can be in gaming.

Let em play as the Russkies, they had plenty of female soldiers. You know that whole equality thing started from somewhere

The number of girls that play would surprise you. I used to see it everyday when I got on discord and would hear a girl's voice playing a toon that I never would have guessed was a girl. I made friends with one of them and she hid the fact she was a girl so all the beta cucks would stop sending her DMs asking for pics, etc. It is a real issue with girl gamers, they get harrassed a lot.

I don't have a problem with a killer cyborg chick character. I, personally, am one of those douchebags dudes that likes playing girl characters and dressing them as scantilly as possible. I think it's sorta humorous. However, the problem is there were no girl cyborgs running around in WWII. There might have been a few female soldiers in SOME armies (like Finland) but they were very few. There certainly weren't many in the American, British, or German armies.

If battlefield is going for fantasy set in WWII, fine. But they're not - they are merely being SJW's. People are right to call them out just as people were right to call out that movie from a few years ago depicting black Greeks from the classical period.

EA is in bad shape, but it has almost nothing to do with progressivism. They basically killed Mass Effect last year with Andromeda. Then they had the Battlefront boondoggle. They also killed an in development Star Wars game and released some horribly worded statements basically saying single-player games are dead. That was all in one year (2017).

Their pipeline for new games is thin with only Anthem being a new IP with any buzz around it as that has quieted a lot.

They will be fine since idiots continue to spend insane amounts of cash of Madden and FIFA ultimate teams, but it is going to take them a while to rebuild.

My prediction is BFV will probably be “fine” and will sell “fine.” I doubt this trailer controversy ends up mattering much in either direction.
