Is this the earth shattering news that the Dems are pinching their nipples about this morning?

Dems also won two elections with trannies. They of course will claim both minn and va as purple states when we all know that isn't true

Apparently we are supposed to be furious that some towns put minorities and trans people in their government.

It should be a wake up call to Republicans that they will face huge get out the vote pushes next year.

It's all they got or they would be in shambles. The MSM saying everyone hates Trump, thinking if they say it enough it will be true.

I will say that the GOPe lead by Eddie Munster; better get their crap together and slide in the OCare mandate removal and get out a good tax plan. The aholes could ruin a wet dream. I really think they think that if they lose majority--that Kasich or JEBOOSH will magically appear and be President. They will throw in a GOPe puppet in 2020 and lose (but they are so above the clouds in DC they think they will win) but in the meantime they need to DO THEIR FRICKING JOBS.

It's funny. I suppose they are so desperate for wins they'll overdo anything.

Their "people want us because we aren't 'divisive'" is hilarious. There entire philosophy is divide and conquer.

Not sure how anyone could see it any other way. GOP was pumped up because they thought they were going to claim victory in the VA race after that video hit. Donations tripled etc and they couldn’t pull it off. That is a Dem victory regardless how you cut it up.

Are conservatives going to crank up the resistance and start rioting in the streets?

Probably not. Will probably go about their business, with the understanding that the people have spoken and the need to do more next cycle.

The victories weren't a surprise, but the scale and why. Northam won by 9& when he was predicted to win by 3-5%. It was broad based, in that the GOP lost lieutenant governor, attorney general, and the state legislature as well. The troubling part for Republicans is that according to exit polls Donald Trump's unpopularity was a big big factor why, especially in the suburbs, like Loudain County, which Gillespie had won before for senator and the GOP needs to be competitive in the future, but instead lost by a 60-40% which should make a lot of suburban Republican Congressman really nervous.
On the plus side for Republicans, in the big base for Trump, rural VA he still did really well. So the big take away is not that the Democrats won Virginia, but by how much and by how broad.

well they are big wins for them. I mean losses there would be catastrophic so they're big wins

It's just extrapolating those wins into meaning something larger is a proven Fool's errand

Yes! Dem states voted Dem for governor! It's all over. It was fun while it lasted.

You're not missing anything. The media are just grasping at anything they think makes Trump look vulnerable.

It was quite the backlash against Trump.

Dem delusion (and desperation) is at an all-time high.
