All about my "white privilege"

Earlier this year, I was asked to apply for an appointed position to a non-profit board that oversees a group that I volunteer with. I found out recently that "other well-qualified candidates were chosen".
This was the third consecutive year in which I was asked to apply, I did apply, and I was not selected.
All three times, I have been told, off the record by people involved in the nomination process, that the organization was looking to "improve the diversity of our board". All three years, multiple slots were available, and each time, all but one slot was a re-appointment of a current board member. So, there was one "open" slot each year (due to someone not re-committing).
For these three years, the person appointed is:
A white female
A black male
A black female
Approx 70% of the board is white males. Many of these have been on the board for a long time.
All three of these individuals have less experience than I do, when it comes to volunteering, less education, etc.
White men in their mid 30s to mid 40s are completely screwed. We are paying for the sins of our forefathers, as the pendulum has swung the opposite way. Instead on ONLY appointing white men to positions like this, groups want to appoint EVERYONE BUT white men.
I'm all for diversity. That means, no one should get excluded based on their gender or race. That includes white men.
This may seem like I'm whining, and I probably am =) But it's frustrating to sit here and get attacked, constantly, on my "white privilege" when it sure starting to seem like not only is it not a privilege, but it's actually a handicap.
I feel like as a society, substituting one type of discrimination for another isn't going to end well.
Anyone else have any experience being passed over because of being a white guy?

It's one thing that minorities and women don't understand. They still love to point the finger at white men though.
EO is ignorant and it should be the best man or woman for the position.

The 70% on the board who are white men, are all in the 50s or older with 10 or more years of experience.
Your typical "boomers won't retire" situation.
It's these same boomers calling the shots now, I guess because they feel bad or something.

You have experience in oil and gas?
Or have Cdl with x endorsement?

Take the jobs away from white males and this country fails immediately. Id like to see a pro or college football or basketball game minus every white male.

Well just take a look at how well the entire continent of Africa is doing without white men....
Or Haiti
Or Jamaica
Or the Middle East
Or Central America
Or South America

I have volunteer multiple times over the last 9-10 years to be a part of the diversity boards or diversity focus groups at work. I always get turned down.
Of course now, which I saw coming and was my reasoning for volunteering, these have transformed from boards and groups to full-on departments with VPs. I mean, a VP salary to go tell HR to hire the woman, black person, or foreigner? Easiest job ever.

One of the things I have learned is that "diversity" doesn't mean "everyone".
It's insane.

Im going to the top, minority/gay/tranny/llwerqcr or whatever. And Im suing anyone that turns me down.

I love it when people assume I got to where I was because I am a white dude. It ignores the depression, anxiety, multiple jobs at one time, and loneliness I deal with on a regular basis. They just apply a generic label to me while yelling that generic labels are patricharcial.
