Battle was probably Alabama's best chance to have a good Governor during our lifetime. Alabama voters are dumb as he!!. If Britt gets elected Senator, they will prove that.

Huntsville used to be a boom or bust town perpetually and could NEVER get the planning or growth right. An odd combination of stunted town wanting to be a city.
Battle has righted every wrong and presses for quality growth. It has worked. Huntsville is a model in many ways now. The previous 50 years not so much,

Here is a kay ivey vulnerability. As soon as she was last elected they voted a gas tax hike. She and the state gop knew they were going to do this before the election and even told gops running that they wouldn't get state gop support if they wouldn't vote for the tax. All of this behind closed doors. So instead of persuading the voters of the need for a tax they hide it from them and by voting for it as soon as the new session starts, assume the voters will have forgotten their subterfuge by the time of the next election
