Long lines like this were so predictable. It’s only going to get worse, a lot worse, when they completely phase out ICE cars.

Its still the best state in America if you factor in weather. Texas and Florida way too hot for many

For my own edification, how long does it take to charge an EV assuming it's at or near zero? I have an EV UTV but I rarely let my cart get below 90%.
You wouldn't need to charge from near 0 to 100% so probably 25 minutes at the most to have enough to get you to your next charger if on a road trip.

Not sure exactly how long but maybe twice as long if you did go to 100%. Basically, to charge up to about 80% the V3 super chargers will charge at around 600 miles per hour. But once you get to around 80% it has to slow down a lot and more so trickle, if you will, for that final 20%. Don't know the technical stuff around it but basically it's best for the battery.

I just assumed all Californians have a scat fetish and enjoy looking at turds on sidewalks.

Unfortunately, that’s not humans are wired. Remember the crazy run on toilet paper? Those same types will charge until they hit 110%. Each and every time.

I mean, that's how the masses with EVs are mostly doing it right now.

Yeah - I am still learning as this is my 2nd EV side by side but the other one was an older model and I probably ruined the batteries. There are plenty of ways to do it wrong and only a few ways to do it right. I am being way more careful with this new one as it has 8 of the 12volt batteries. Probably cost a couple thousand to replace them. These EV cars probably have $10,000 worth of batteries.

That won't happen anywhere near their target. They will delay that several times as they have nowhere near the capacity without nuclear plants. It's the cleanest but it's that scary nuclear so they would rather have 12 mile charging lines than go nuclear.

Biden just subsidized nuclear. I bet we’ll finally see more development.

I just bought a Polaris Ranger 1000. asked the dealer about the EVs and how they sell. said they hadn't sold 1. we had a good laugh.

Saw a guy charging his Tesla at target. I was in there at least an hour. when I got out he was still there. I honked the horn and waved as I rode by.

That person is tarded. Going from 0-80% only takes about 40 minutes.

Filling up my gas tank from 1 gallon to full takes ~5 minutes. Until they figure out how to speed up EV charging times to be comparable to gas they aren't feasible for the majority of drivers. I say that as someone who wants a Tesla and hopes they figure it out soon.

Only 40 min lol I can pump gas in less than five since we only going to 3/4 tank, be home and unloaded from target and sitting in my recliner sipping on a cold one while that jack leg is still charging his suped up golf cart.

The majority of drivers are daily commuters.

I've also never had to go from 0-80% on a road grip and thus never needed 40 minutes to charge. 20 has been the max for me because you already have some amount of miles when you reach a super charger, and you don't need to charge to 80% each time.

You're overriding point is generally correct for the masses to want an EV, but they are feasible for the majority imo.

He was probably waiting on his wife who was inside Target.

There’s never going to be 0-100% 5 minute charges. It’s impossible. If that’s your threshold you better hang on to you ICE as long as possible. But the reality is for many drivers, being able to charge at home means they spend significantly less of their lives at gas stations/chargers than ice owners.
