What party would that be ?

You're still thinking in terms of a party having to 100% fit your ideals.

I won't change your mind tonight, but remember what I said about opening your mind. If you are able to do it, you'll thank me one day.

I don't think so. The Libertarians seem harmless, and several are actually Randian Conservatives, which is good.

Democrats have been completely subverted by socialists. This is definitely worse.

A party doesn't fit your ideals. You compromise issues that are somewhat important vs bedrock primary principles and vote accordingly.

You keep agreeing with me but it sounds like you are arguing my points

See my previous post. I said exactly this.

Thanks for your input. I was very pro choice in my younger years until I had kids. At that moment I realized just how much they show personality wise as soon as they are born.

Long story short, my wife and I are going to adopt two kids to grow with our two biological kids, put my care, love, and money where my mouth is so to speak. I know there are unwanted kids out there, I can make a difference for two at least.

Ha, indeed. I have been known to grab a beer with those I disagree with.

Sounds like you have no point, as your response has been to "read up on biology". I could do that for years, what should I concentrate on?

again failing the sled test. if that is your criteria, then LOTS of people should be euthanized because they are dependent on others. murdery people never want to acknowledge that slippery slope

The real question is WHEN does the right not to be killed vest in that organism
since the baby is a person from the moment of conception, the answer to your question is that the baby NEVER lacks that right

we legally and morally kill living organisms all the time
is it ok to murder people for the sake of convenience? your answer is yes. the mother should not be "burdened" with pregnancy if it inconveniences her life

"it is human." I disagree

I think they are wrong in asserting that you have ill motives
i have never thought that way of you either. you are misguided although you are trying your level best to be conscientious. my only problem with you is when you dip into the juvenile buckeye comments and question my intelligence. i have understood every facet of your points and rebutted them. you have not reciprocated. when your position met with resistance, you just started ignoring me instead of engaging on substance. however, i have noticed that your language on the matter has very gradually softened and become more nuanced over the last few exchanges

your side tends almost uniformly to impute ill motives to those who feel that the right in question vests at some later time

We had ended this thread with coming to a close middle ground between the two sides... was glorious.

oh good grief. you actually finally responded somewhat on substance and now you regress back into the idiotic buckeye childish retorts.

so, you get to post your idiotic crap all over but i'm not allowed to respond. explain that

you’re not smart enough to recognize the straw man argument you’re suggesting
nope not a strawman. women are advocating for this constantly. "my body my choice" is PRECISELY that - murder for convenience. if i don't WANT the baby, i can murder it, now even up to the moment of delivery in some places.

if you disagree, explain how it's a strawman genius

Prove it is a person

you can't be serious. you need PROOF? that the organism in the mother's womb is a human person? do you not understand biology at all?

at the moment of conception, the organism has EVERYTHING it will ever need to be a person provided it's growth and development are never hindered. there is no "personhood gap" between parents and offspring. if you disagree, prove it.

this is the stupidity humanity is dealing with.
