Book it.

His pride nor his sense will allow him to back Bernie in the general.

He will be close to a $1b in.

Yep he will go Indy.

Now the question is does his hatred for Trump outweigh that his Indy run could lead to a socialist winning the White House?

Did no one prep Bloomberg about possible lines of attack? It looked like no one had ever spoke a cross word to him his whole life.

What "independents" will he be appealing to by doing so, and from whom do you foresee him taking votes away?

Imagine spending a hundred zillion dollars just to get scalped by a fake sqaw schoolmarm in a debate.

He takes out way more the Dem vote than the Repub vote.

Those that absolutely loathe our President and those Dems that can not and will not vote for a Socialist.

I think you would have the far left socialists/communists of the Dems voting Bernie.

You would have the "orange man very bad" but can't do that socialism thing voting for Bloomy.

You would have President Trumps folks voting for President Trump.

Would make things interesting, but I wonder if Bloomy could even pull any states or where his orange man bad votes would possibly swing states to Bernie or President Trump.

If bloom runs independent, trump will win in a landslide.

If bloom runs as an independent one almost had to think was this all an intentional pro trump ploy?

A Trojan horse that the Dems took in to claim the middle of the Democratic party. That would be a billion dollar masterpiece.

I doubt anyone would do this, but think of the genius...

Bloomberg as an independent makes no sense. He doesn't appeal to moderates or centrists, and he has no value to independent conservatives or libertarian leaning Republicans. He literally hates freedom.

He may appeal to some liberals, but from watching the debates, and seeing how the first few caucuses and primaries have gone, it seems that Democrats have marched much further left than liberalism, and are now steadfastly the party of progressives and left wing extremists.

Nah. He knows he doesn't stand a chance without as many Dems voting for him as possible. He's too old to be trying to make a political statement by going rogue as an independent.

This.

If he did, they would Clintoncide him with the quickness.

He would appeal to some Dems who can't fathom a socialist President like Bernie. So maybe not centrists, but not the far left. He would also draw some of the Never Trumpers, the butt hurt Republicans who are really Dems. The Bill Kristols, etc. He would hurt the Dems much more.

Wait, you think Bloomberg running as an independent hurts Trump more than it hurts the democratic nominee?

I can't imagine Never Trumpers voting for a guy who wants to legislate sodium and coke size.

Exactly

He would get destroyed running as an Indy. He needs the DNC to get votes. I'm surprised the Dems put him up there last night if he is their chosen one coming out of the convention.

Imagine what Trump will do to him if he let Warren take him to task.
