Afghans: "I don't want your life!"

To me this is just like in Varsity Blues... when Mox's dad is going on about playing football at West Canaan and Mox tells him, "I don't want your life!"
The Afghan people do not want an American style of life. They do not want our freedoms, our education, our respect for women, they want none of it. They do not want our style of government. They do not want us there, they do not want anything to do with us.
This has been obvious to anyone who has paid attention. However, our military and political leaders, on both sides of the aisle, refused to accept this. They thought... oh, they want us there! Oh, once we give them a taste, they will love us! They want freedom!
They don't want freedom.
I don't understand it. But it's very clear.
And so, we spent 20 years, trillions of dollars, and an insane number of American lives, trying to give the Afghans a gift that they can't wait to return to sender.
There are other ways to defend our homeland from terrorists. This was never going to work.
The Afghan people do not want an American style of life. They do not want our freedoms, our education, our respect for women, they want none of it. They do not want our style of government. They do not want us there, they do not want anything to do with us.

Some do, some don't.
But you can't force it on them. You can't sit in their country for 20 years, let 50,000 civilians die and TELL them they're going to be Westernized now.

There are good people there who don’t support the Taliban and liked our help. Look at the people who helped Marcus Luttrell.
I agree that their country will never become one that embraces and keeps democracy. Their ideology and other circumstances will always welcome tyranny.

OP, then why are these Afghans clinging to an airplane that's taking off?
they obviously don't want the life that is coming to their neighborhood

75% of commercials show interracial couples, the rest mock white men
Why can't white men have their country where they are a majority like all of rest of the races in the world have their nations?

I said years ago that we either take over Afghanistan and Iraq and make them US territories or we get completely out. Yes, it is easy to bang on Biden about this, but it had to happen eventually. I give him credit for having the balls to do it. Yes, it is a shite show.

Anyone ever hear of Marcus Latrells story when he befriended the Afghan guy who saved his life? The guy said he was in trouble over there, Marcus sent him money, the guy said he needed more. So Marcus was gonna set him up with a cattle ranch in Texas so he could provide for himself and live here. The guy didn’t want it, just more money. We are importing 30k leeches. They have been living in that shithole, so living in “poverty” here would be quite nice.

That is just the PR, the big lie for the masses. The powers centers that decided it was a good idea to stay in Afghanistan for 20 years have their own reasons for being there but would rather not talk about those reasons in public and besides, it is none of your business! Thank you and now, move along and be quiet.

This must be a factor. Any reasonable person must admit that some Afghans must NOT wish to import 2021 USA Culture.
It is a mistake to assume that Afghans view the US Culture of 1990 and say "I don't want that." The Culture of the USA that would be imported to Afghanistan would be the 2021 version of US Culture! TODAY'S version of our Culture. Yes, they want 1990 US Culture for themselves, but that Culture no longer exists in the USA, and they must decide whether they want 2021 US Culture! They might not want that.
WHAT is the Culture of the USA here today, in 2021? It is a Culture that HALF of US citizens don't want, because it is too Radical Left, and too morally bankrupt!
What person in Afghanistan is their right mind would want 2021 culture for themselves? Homosexuals, yes. Transgendered, yes. Committed Communists, yes.
Normal people in Afghanistan probably do NOT want to import 2021 US Culture to their country.

And the two meet up on the regular and their families are friends

Above all I think afghans just want to be left alone. It is a place that has always been fought over by various empires and the locals get caught in the crossfire. I'd also not really care to much for the globohomo neo liberal order the US represents either if I where them; its bad enough here at home.
