Says Trump intends to let Biden sink his own ship, more or less.

quote:

Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller told "Fox News Sunday" that this week's debate between President Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden will see a different approach than what the president displayed in their first debate.

Host Chris Wallace, who moderated the first debate, pointed to the number of times Trump interrupted Biden during that event, and asked if the president would conduct himself in a similar manner at the second debate, currently scheduled for this Thursday.

“When you talk about style, when you talk about approach, I do think that President Trump is going to give Joe Biden a little bit more room to explain himself on some of these issues,” Miller said, referring to court packing and whether or not he was referenced in emails reported to have been exchanged involving Hunter Biden and a Chinese energy company.

Miller said that the debate's focus on foreign policy will be "perfect" in light of Biden's past support for "endless wars," President Trump's success with recent peace deals, and the issue of whether the emails bearing Hunter Biden's name are authentic.

"I do think the president's going to want to hear Joe Biden's answer on some of these, and will definitely give all the time that Joe Biden wants to talk about packing the court, I think he's going to get it on Thursday."

He fricking better, and I say he should employ a different strategy: tell Joe Biden he doesn’t care what he’s going to say tonight since most Americans think he’s senile and won’t serve out his first term, so all his responses he’s going to be directing towards Kamala Harris. The only thing he should bring up about Biden is the NY Post piece and the media censoring it.

Not surprising. He just needs to let Mr. "Poor kids are as smart as white kids" hang himself with his own stupidity.

I think Trump has a second wind and the hospital rest was a good thing. He was biting at the bit to go after Joe and it got away from him a couple of times. Trump will still do battle but I think he will be a little more reserved this next one.

Trump needs to look carefully both ways before driving forward..

Kristin will probably channel her inner Savannah & Chris, and be waiting to step off the curb and rudely interrupt him..or run interference for Joe..

Guthrie came off like a Jr High child..disgusting.

He should just respond to every moderator question.

"Have you seen Hunter Biden's laptop? I yield my time."

Yes, I would like this very much.

I'd also like to see him employ Pence's strategy of using his 2 minutes to go back and address something that was just said. frick the slanted question and get to the meat of what people care about.

If Trump doesn't answer a question on climate change so he can use that time to hammer Biden on something he just said, it's time well-spent. No one who is undecided at this time is going to decide to vote for Trump because of his answer on something climate change related. Use that time to nail Biden's arse to the wall instead.

Who in the frick goes on marble mouths show and admits all of this strategy?

Unless it is to make Joe very very nervous and throw warning shots to the moderator not to take Joe's side as Joe needs to answer some important questions.

No one knows where he stands on anything accept the green new deal but maybe not to appease moderates...

This is super important. He can't let the moderator set the narrative. He needs to circle back and respond to what the moderator or Biden said regardless if it has anything to do with the current question asked. Don't allow the moderator to save Biden and "move on".

I think one thing his supporters and detractors should be able to agree on is this will not happen.

Depends on what your definition of "this" is. I fully expect him to tone back his rhetoric this debate. He will get vocal but be less combative this go-round.
