LINK

For comparison's sake, 20 people were fatally struck by lighting in the US in 2019. LINK

Just so everyone understands, there is no epidemic of police killing unarmed black people. It simply doesn't happen at a statistically significant rate. The narrative that there is some genocide being perpetrated against the African-American community is simply a lie perpetrated by our mass media for what purpose I dare not conjecture.

That 14 is high from numbers I've seen reported elsewhere. 9 seems to be the number most use.

14 is the "revised" number after they changed the criteria to include unarmed individuals who fought for possession of an officer's service weapon, or something like that.

The original number was 9.

This is why I can’t understand where all the hate is coming from. Their whole protest is built on bullshite. No one on the left wants to tackle the black on black crime or broken families.

2 weeks ago, 5 unarmed black men were killed in 2019 retroactively according to WaPo.

In case anyone wanted some context on the bullshite media that tells you what to think.

Now let’s do how many cops were killed in 2019

89 according to the FBI

Of these, 48 officers died as a result of felonious acts, and 41 officers died in accidents.

You mean after they moved the goalposts, right?

Even assuming it's 14, the point is, the number is statistically insignificant.

You just committed a hate crime. To attempt to present data and facts and clarity and perspective is out of line. Prepare to be called the R word.

How convenient of them.
Now, I am really glad I never gave them that $1 for a trial subscription.

Is being armed a reason to be killed?

Is being unarmed a reason not to be?

I've seen this stat and I am not sure what the number is supposed to convey. Whether a suspect is armed or unarmed is only part of the story.

38 unarmed black men were killed by police in 2015, the direct result of Trump’s racist rhetoric. Oh wait....

It isn’t specifically the killing of unarmed black people that is the issue. And I would argue that 14 is exactly 14 too many unarmed people shot by police in a year. I honestly don’t understand how anyone doesn’t see this as a problem; the cops shouldn’t be shooting unarmed people at all. Race is a total non-issue there.
But there is no way you can deny the video evidence of police abusing power all over the place. The amount of money that goes to the police vs education and health is not designed to help the community.
