According to my class at LSU, everything you don't like = terrorism!

So I'm taking this into course in Social Anthropology (need to burn up those electives, and I've watched Indiana Jones too much) and the other day our lecturer spoke on the effects of social terrorism.
She basically equated everything that could be in any way construed as even slightly "offensive" to a form of terrorism. She brought up the appellate court case where the 11th Circuit ruled that dreadlocks weren't a protected class. There was talk about the use of body shaming. Even the use of "attractive women" by magazines was equated to terrorism.
During the open discussion a number of students brought up the tired tropes of women in the workplace getting paid less, the discrimination of people of color, etc. All of these were considered forms of terrorism. I feel that this is a slight to those affected by actual terrorism; the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building, the '93 WTC bombing, the attacks on 9/11... these are actual acts of terrorism. These acts actually caused fear in the hearts of Americans. I remember how my family, friends, colleagues, and how I felt when these events occurred.
I had reached my limit. I'm usually the guy who rolls his eyes whenever people try to push bullshite in class and keeps his mouth shut. However, I decided to push back somewhat. I'm an adult student (34 years old) who has worked in the real world, had to pay bills/taxes, have seen the overburdening bureaucracy of government at all levels, and have a much different perspective from most college kids.
I greatly constrained myself, but I did enquire as to whether the use of the label of "terrorism" and the dismissiveness of opposing points of view [to this liberal stance] should be considered "terrorism?" I brought up Milo Yiannopoulos (which got some me some cursive looks) and tried to get the point across that some forms of what they are calling discrimination/terrorism are just the effects of evolution; the reason men are typically attracted to a particular body type isn't because we're terrorist, but because evolution has shown that body type to be most effective in perpetuating the species.
To the lecturer's credit, she didn't totally dismiss my arguments, but it was obvious that she wasn't supportive of my contrary point of view and quickly moved the discussion in another direction. I did attempt to illicit more debate on the issue (sometimes I just like to stir the pot) and the professor spoke up and basically said that we all have different views, that it is a complicated issue, and we should move on.
This is what is going on in your average everyday classroom. This is why liberalism is running amuck amongst the newer generations.
As a side note: while I began talking I looked around and noticed that the class, of some 150 plus students, is overwhelmingly female; some of which are hot - including the professor. Sorry, no pics, but I'll try to add one in an edit later.

Sorry your school is becoming shittier by the minute. I think it's Coach O's fault.

I'm loving this thought process. It will keep Democrats out of power for a long arse time.

According to CNN, Terrorism doesn't exist and Pissgate is real. So are Russian conspiracy theories.

You must be forgetting how fake news became a mainstream thing.

Next thing we know, our students and football team will mass protest over a fat rich trust fund baby skipping meals over a diddle drawn with poo.

a want... that's actually funny when you think about your normal posts, replies and their content.
However, "I whine" would be equally funny and a closer representation to your true personality.
Ask Chicken over on the Help Board - I'll second the motion if you start the topic.

I did a year straight out of HS but never finished. I actually started a year early, but having suddenly been given the freedoms of college and living away from home for the first time, I drank and partied my way out of school. But now I'm back and am an A student.

Well there is your problem right there. It's like a bunch of people got together and said "sociology is too conservative, let's form our own group!"

Please tell me that you pointed to the fact that females tend to study easier subject, including Social Anthropology, while men tend to take to STEM courses.

Are you talking about Fake news covering a story on fake news? Fox is the creator of fake news. Funny how it all got turned around. Don't believe Breitbart or Limbaugh, they are the inventors of this bullshite.
