Charlie was probably connected with a lot of wealthy backers, people who generally kept their politics private and didn’t let it influence business decisions. But when you mock the death of someone they considered a friend, that changes. Suddenly, their personal beliefs do factor into business, and they’re not going to stay silent.

You’re absolutely right.
The left are absolute idiots though and didn’t realize who Charlie even was. It isn’t an exaggeration to say that prior to his death he was the 3rd most important conservative voice in America, maybe even second being above Vance and behind Trump. They didn’t realize they killed someone so important and it’s why they didn’t think he would become a martyr which he immediately did
