'm over in South Korea, and I'm watching ABC news. They are saying that people have been condemning the President and First Lady for using the White house for giving speeches during the RNC. I know the media are shite these days, but this is the first I've heard of this.

The “people” complaining are the same ones who didn’t want him to have a convention at all, such as the governor of NC.

I've watched a little network news this week and tonight to see what their storm coverage is like.
ABC World News these days makes NBC nightly news look plane Jane and straight forward. NBC is still biased, and includes ridiculous reports calling the President of the United States "racist," but they're really straight and non-controversial compared to how off-the-rails ABC has gone.

Legally you are not supposed to do campaign work on government property. I would bet that the Secret Service required this. It’s not as big a deal as the media is making out of it.

I think there is a rule against it. Gore got in minor trouble back in 2000 for making campaign calls from his VP office. But, it is a minor issue. And certainly the current circumstances make it even more minor.
