ANC: This happens to be in Kentucky, but make no mistake friends, they think the same about us in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, et. al.

Now for the hate mail:

Nobody shows love and tolerance like Loving and Tolerant Progressives. This charming missive contains an image of Jesus Christ sodomizing himself:

quote:

Regarding admission information for Whitefield Academy, I wanted to start this email with an innocuous line so that you would open it and look at this image because you are a prolapsed anus of a person. Kentucky is a backwards 3rd world country being carried towards civilization by the rest of the US.

Eat sh*t and die.

This one, from a Mr. John D. in suburban Buffalo, anticipates the suppression of conservative Christians within society:

quote:

What ignorant individuals you are, expelling a young woman due to her sexual orientation (your perceived interpretation of a photograph)? I look forward to hearing how this impacts the future of your school. So thankful that our society is intolerant of ignorance like this.

I predict the school is shut down within two years. I can’t wait to read of it in the paper or hear it on the national news.

Oh and I’m a married (30 years) father of two children (currently in college) who have been taught that views like yours must be eliminated from our society. They are the future of our country, you are the past. They and their peers will shut you down, it’s just a question of how long it will take.

Can you hear me laughing?

This sage, Tyler K., knows what’s up:

quote:

Shame on you. You’re what’s wrong with Christianity. These actions embolden secularism. In this lifetime we will see religion dwindle to the addled brain ramblings of the ignorant until it only exists in history books as a cautionary tale.

Your privilege is showing.

An excitable person named Angelina writes with exhortation in mind:

quote:

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! You and your school is a joke and God himself would be ashamed of your actions for judging a child based on a rainbow cake. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? THIS IS A CHILD! I would really love to know how a rainbow cake goes against your school policies. Clearly you show that you hateful against gays and LGBTQ and this will be exposed. I will be blasting your school all over social media and to the news. REALITY CHECK…..there are gays in your school and there are transgenders in your school. Oh you think because you are not aware that it won’t come to your school….WRONG!! Open your eyes to the world we live in. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU who call yourselves children of God but are out here judging a child!! GOD says to love everyone, not discriminate and that is exactly what you are doing. Ya’ll make me sick and I can’t wait for God to judge you at heaves gate!

Stephen C. wonders whether the kid might be a future Nobelist:

quote:

You should be ashamed of your institution and your boss. What sort of educator expels a young girl over a RAINBOW BIRTHDAY CAKE?!?!

This girl could be an important thinker in this world and you’ve just casted her out. You are the same as the educators who expelled Einstein for “going against the grain”.

Are you all so blind and filled with hate to think that LGBT has a monopoly over the “rainbow”?? Does that mean that little girls who like rainbows and unicorns also are lesbians and not WORTHY of your joke of a school.

News flash! No one cares if people are gay anymore! The world has moved on, so should you, bigots.

Tim has some advice for the school administration:

quote:

I find it unfortunate I need to waste my important time in the day to reach out to the individuals responsible for expelling a young female for, well I’m not sure, enjoying a rainbow? I mean unless you put it upon yourselves to assume more from a simple post, which even if she were to consider herself part of the LGBT community, so what.

Please do what is best for the interest of the children at your school and step down. You have proven that you don’t belong in developing the youth of our nations. This is a disgusting act of bigotry by people who have shown when in a position of power, the don’t know how to use it without abusing their role. The lack of intelligence in this decision is baffling, especially considering your supposed to be educators.

Do the right thing and step down from your positions.

Brent shares his conviction that Baptists in Louisville are just about on the same level as Muslim tribesmen who commit mass murder:

quote:

It must be a heavy burden carrying around so much hate. As a parent to a teenage girl, I am certain that any sane, caring person would never do such a thing to a 15 year old girl.

You people are little better than the Taliban.

One day I am confident you will come to the realization that you have done a terrible deed (although this is likely only one of many). Until then you can continue to relish in the hateful burden you have put on yourselves.

Mark T. hates Kentucky:

quote:

Talk about snowflakes?? You’re apparently scared of your shadow.

Congratulations on your contribution to these impressive KY statistics:

Health Care #44
Education #38
Economy #33

Someone has a multi colored cake, and a sweater with some stripes and you’re so insecure that you chose to expel them?? Ever thought of re-instituting the inquisitions? Of course I’m sure you take an equal stance with racism and swastikas right? Or maybe it’s how you get your power trip, intimidating and bullying little girls? OR are you a eunuch without the courage to stand up to some donor who called on phone demanding action?

Maybe you thought the press would do you good? Maybe even get an best bully of the year award from #MoscowMitch?

Maybe you hit your head and thought the year was 1920 instead of 2020.

Get a life, goodness knows your kind of insecure evil isn’t going to see a comfortable afterlife. And just in case you’ve ever ‘actually’ asked the questions WWJD? You ‘might’ even be able to look yourself in the mirror and admit that this ISN’T what he would do.

You’ve just provided the case study on statistically why the younger generation is fleeing the church.

Mark [deleted]

ps – God doesn’t like BIGOTS either.

Love trumps hate, indeed.

You need to start posting links so this stuff can be verified.

I think the school is kinda silly for their decision, but that's their choice as a private school.

These e-mails / letters are out of control and awful. These clowns need to get a life.

I understand if someone wants to write to respectfully disagree, but this isn't the way to do it.

Hating so love can win

There's a good number of people on this board that don't like Dreher because he is NeverTrump. But the person that I agree with 80 percent of the time is not my enemy. He did a great job reporting on the Covington Catholic kids and is doing a great job with this one. He is the go-to for religious liberty.

Good article, thanks

quote:

Over the weekend, I heard that Whitefield academies in other places have been receiving hate mail and abusive phone calls from people who mistake them for the Kentucky school.

This is what happens when a mob mentality has emotions that are stronger than their intelligence.

I'm certainly not the World's Greatest Catholic. My pastor often talks about "hate the sin, love the sinner" and "keep them close to show them His path". Kicking a kid out of school seems to against those teachings. On the other hand, certainly, you can't let rule-breakers proceed without consequence.

I'm still left to wonder why this parent had their daughter in this school, knowing full well the school / church doesn't support the kid's lifestyle. Is this just an elaborate troll/extortion attempt? A parent who thought maybe the school could "fix" the kid? Parent who thinks rules don't apply to them?

Since you seem to have more information than I do...
what decision was it that they made?

From what I have read, all of these ludicrous letters are in response to a narrative being put forth by the girl's mother on social media.

In short, can you specific concerning their "decision?"

Please include a link supporting the mother as issued by the school stating that the cake was the cause for the expulsion.

I understand where you are coming from. But this is a covenantal Christian school.

Every parent has to sign a contract that they and their child will adhere to the teachings of the school and not disrupt it. The mother of this child signed the contract.

For two years, this girl has disrupted the school's teachings. She came out as lesbian/bi-sexual. She went to a dance with a female from another school, she threw her bible in the dryer and laughed about it. She sexually harassed other female classmates. She drew rainbows and LGBT pride on her papers. She was disrespectful to teachers and got caught vaping at school more than once.

The school kept giving her second chances, third chances, fourth chances and more. The mother of this child has encouraged the behavior in order to get them to expel her so she can go on the attention circuit. She finally got her wish.

I agree with Dreher here - if the mother wants to be fair about this, then sign a waiver and allow the school to release her lengthy discipline record. But she doesn't want to be fair - she wants the world to believe that this mean old Christian school kicked her out because she wore a rainbow shirt.

That school needs to just let this roll off them. Worldly threats are meaningless.

ETA: It is good for people to know the threats of progressivism though. Thanks for sharing.

You nailed it in your ETA. We need to know what we are up against. I fully believe the progressive movement's master plan involves

1. Completely destroying the nuclear family
2. Using the LGBT movement to destroy the church
3. Getting rid of the 2nd amendment

Every private school should take a lesson from this and include in the contract that the parent has to sign that any information that besmirches the school emanating from the student or parents is subject to public release at the discretion of the school upon a vote by the board of directors with the parent invited to offer dissent in the meeting, if they choose to attend. It would be a last ditch effort to get parents to rescind or face release of the information and potential lawsuit for slander.

I agree. The school's hands are tied. Dreher's reporting sheds light on the whole thing:

Rainbow Cake Girl: The True Story

but its from sources close to the school (and the girl's Instagram profile backs it up).

The school and the girl are obviously not a good fit. This was a planned attack. The school just gave her more second chances than the mother thought they would.

Is this a big story?

I haven't seen shite on the local or national news about it.

Its died down a little bit, but yeah it was pretty big. The girl and her mother have been making the media circuit - talk shows, morning shows etc.

The parents are using their child the same way gays have used marriage to discredit, legally and financially punish, and put out of business Christian bakers, florists, and owners of marriage destination sites. Why else would someone with progressive LGBT views send their kids to a Southern Baptist school that explicitly says that they adhere to a Biblical definition of marriage and sexuality?

These people in the above posts are why my father used to tell me to judge slowly the actions of others....there is usually a whole lot more to the story.

Dreher over at American Conservative got a whole lot of background on this and this teenage girl was doing her dead level best to piss off this school and its values....this was not about the cake and the shirt as the "victim" would have you suggest

Haven't read any of the details - just a few of the preceding posts

BUT I am pretty sure the motive to "get her in" was to serve as a launching point for continued harassment of the school.

That is the mindset of the LBQWERTY cultist.

From what I read they expelled her because she had a rainbow birthday cake- on her own time, off of school grounds.

Obviously the school can do whatever it wants but it's retarded to kick someone out for off campus behavior.

If they get bad press because of it I am not going to lose sleep over their bad decisions.

Perhaps you should read more. In short, this singular event does not seem (based on what I have read) to be the "cause" for the expulsion. Anc supplied a link above. It has some supporting documentation.

As a final note, I think that even if it were the sole cause for the expulsion, as a private school...do your thing (and I say that as someone that is typically pro-LGBTQ).

Just waiting for the discrimination lawsuit, but it sure seems like the parents kept the girl in the school so they could sue them after she inevitably got expelled because she wouldn't stop pushing LGBT stuff to her classmates and on her social media. From the dad's FB post screenshot in that article, doesn't seem like they were there for the school to "fix" the kid.
