Thats true... but you wouldnt be using an automatic weapon from the 32nd floor against an attacker in a crowd of 30k people...

Common sense.

So you want to install billions of dollars worth of tech to snipe people using extremely rare automatic weapons and you think that's common sense. Jesus.

ok, but to what end? Again, they had the information they needed fairly early, and they most likely have sniper teams, so how would this tech have helped?

At some point, there has to be some kind of return on expenditures like this.

I was JUST about to say that. One of the ways that people justify all this spending is the "waht ifffff" shite that goes on constantly. Meanwhile, the troops are undertrained on all the useless shite they have already. It's grotesque.

I remember walking down into our equipment cages one day and literally having to move tough boxes out of the way to get to the door. We didn't deploy with even 10% of our gear. All of it fancy expensive shite we never or rarely trained on and never used. Ridiculous.

I know line platoons are quite so bad as that, hell, we still had a shite ton of crank phones in my first infantry unit. There is still an enormous amount of cutting that can and should take place. Most of it in the higher end items outside of the infantry.
