Actually he was mostly liberal leaning (classic, not proggy), but thought politics was a farce. A bit enigmatic in his beliefs - he skewered them all.

Carlin is the GOAT, closer to a philosopher than a comedian. ‘You have owners, they own you, they own everything’
Carlin would have despised Trump, no doubts, but he would have fricking hated the way the left is behaving. He would have gotten to Trump at some point but he would have absolutely roasted SJWs with the direction they’ve taken to try and limit language since his death

Carlin called out both sides for sure. While “liberal” he was almost libertarian in many ways.
I doubt he’d touch on MAGA much, since it’d be way too easy and obvious for him.
