I mean, a significant percentage of those on this board argue the vaccine doesn’t work and played no part in driving down COVID rates. I’d say that alone makes this worthwhile to post.

They don’t talk about it because this isn’t reality. 7,000 have not died from the vaccine.
The deadliest vaccine in American history in, terms of total deaths, was the polio vaccine which killed between 50-70 people PER DECADE while it was in use here. That’s 5-7 people per year.
The deadliest vaccine in terms of rate of death was the Cutter polio vaccine incident, which killed 10 children in 120k doses. And this was due to an isolated manufacturing error in the Salk vaccine that left the virus functional instead of inactivated.
The idea that the mRNA covid vaccines killed 7000 Americans is absurd on its face even before you dive deeper into the claim.

How often do people who got the jab get tested for covid again? And if they do get tested, are the same number of cycle thresholds used to pop for "positive"?

While the raw data appears correct, it ignores some pretty important details. Most importantly, 160 of those 165 vaccinated deaths were in those aged 50+. And in the UK, more than 90% of the 50+ population has been vaccinated. So of the roughly 20 million people aged 50+ in the UK, about 18 million have been vaccinated and 2 million have not. So that works out to 160 / 18 million = 0.0009% of the vaccinated population over 50 has died of the delta variant, while 71 / 2 million = 0.0036% of the unvaccinated population over 50 has died of the delta variant. The vaccinated aged 50+ are about 4X better off.

Go to page 17 and you would be able to see the real numbers and not your interpretation of the numbers.
Go to the bottom of the page.
There were 257 deaths in the UK who died from the Delta variant within 28 days of positive specimen date.
118 of these deaths were fully vaccinated. An additional 44 had at least one dose. So, 162 vaccinated UKers died from the delta variant whilst 92 unvaccinated died. (There were 2 deaths where the vaccination status was unknown).
162 vaccinated vs. 92 unvaccinated
So, who is better off?

Seriously though Roger. This hesitancy of people to get vaccinated is a problem of the government and the medias own making.
Who can trust them anymore when time and time again they’ve showed they are wiling to lie, only support the viewpoint of one side, and are more than willing to ban any material that doesn’t fit the establishments narrative?
Plus, we’ve had experimental vaccines in the past, like those given to soldiers for anthrax, that later caused severe problems down the line.
In truth, no one can say what the long term effects will be from these vaccines, because they haven’t been around long enough to do a proper study.

So we know of those that were vaccinated and later got the variants (a VERY small number for sure), but information about those that had Covid previously being reinfected is unknown (I would argue intentionally dismissed).
So if previously having Covid provides protection against the variants in the same way as those that have been vaccinated (and to assume that is the case seems quite logical), then why aren’t those previously infected grouped with those that have been vaccinated? Combined, we have to be reaching the threshold for herd immunity.
I don’t get it.
FWIW - I am not anti-vaccination for those that have not had Covid previously or those deemed to be high risk.
