5 wild Dem schemes to counter Trump's SCOTUS win

After failing to block the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Democrats and allies in the media are shifting course to float a range of ideas -- some far-fetched -- to curb the rightward shift of the court.
They range from packing the bench with more justices to overhauling the Constitution itself. Here's a look at some of the strategies that have taken off in the opinion pages, social media-sphere and cable talk circuit.
1. Packing the Court
2. Impeachment
3. Constitution Overhaul
4. Term Limits on SCOTUS Justices
5. Enforcing the McConnell Rule
To save Chicken some bandwidth the explanations are in the link.

Midterms have never been so important.
The results of 2018 midterms and the 2020 presidential election will decide if America continues to prosper as the land of freedom and economic success or collapses under the tyrannical weight of totalitarian communism.
If these Progressives gain power back they will forever change this country. They way overplayed and overexposes their hand in 2016 and if they do not get power back quickly and solidify it they will lose their shot.

Yep. In politics, returning back to the right is a marathon. Proceeding to the left is a 100 yard dash.

Trump should expand court to 13 and have Congress set the max at 13

It's interesting how they've already forgotten that it's actually the Biden Rule, even if he never had the opportunity to enforce it. And that it's only intended for presidential election years.

I would support something like this. Too many dinosaurs on the court. Who knows if their brains still work.

Translation: When something does not favor Democrats (even if it's a rule they created) then it is partisan/unfair/outdated/illegal/etc.

If Trump proposed this, the left would start screaming about a constitutional amendment to keep the court at 9.

Not a bad idea but I would go to 15.
There are currently 13 Circuit Courts of Appeals (the number includes the DC Circuit which reviews all rulemaking) and the Federal Circuit (which reviews patent and contractor claims issues).
The 9th Circuit is the one which is too large and should be broken up into two (place the other one in Seattle).
That would give 14, have one Justice per Circuit plus THE CHIEF JUSTICE (as it is always shown in Supreme Court rulings).

Impeachment doesn't matter. See Clinton.

Everything I see boils down to “they can’t do shite before 2021 at the earliest” given the state of the Dem party.
Every option I see pretty much requires a Dem supermajority and/or control of both the Senate and White House.
The “McConnell rule” is the best they have to go on and they are about to get their shite pushed in next month and be in an even smaller minority.
They might have gotten Collins and Murkowski to throw in with them but they burned bridges with Collins and Murkowski will be under a lot of pressure due to her refusal to approve Kavanaugh.
If I were them, I would be looking to 2020 instead of crying over spilt milk. But then again, their chances in 2020 look pretty damn slim at the moment due to their fracturing base.

Constitutional overhaul
Destroy everything they don't win at.

And even then it only applies in 2020.
If the GOP ends up with 53-55 seats, Justice Thomas could call it quits after the 2019 session ends. President Trump then picks another name off the list (maybe Barrett, or maybe he tries to hold her off until Justice Ginsburg passes; if I'm Justice Thomas I call and tell him my plans ahead of time so he can have the name ready sooner) and we get another summer of Judiciary Committee "fun".
