So, 17 of 20 members of Alaska's incoming senate have just formed a coalition to govern the chamber.

It'll include all 9 Dems, plus 8 Republicans — isolating 3 conservative Republicans into a minority.

Outgoing majority leader is one of those isolated 3.

It sounds like the breakaway Republicans didn't inform their majority leader of their plans (though everyone could see it coming).

I suppose with most Republicans joining the coalition, it's hard to know exactly how to classify Alaska in terms of a trifecta and we'll see how the coalition functions in practice. But for now it feels safe to say this blocks a full GOP state government.

Please do not worry. Marriages involve two people in love and 50% of them end in divorce.

These people are not in love.

Wow, a state legislature that has actually decided to govern with a coalition that resembles the populace ideologically, rather than engaging in partisan, extremist sniping.

We can’t have THAT.

But that’s not what the People voted for. They voted to be majority conservative. I guess you aren’t for the will of the people.

US politicians are in only two categories.

Compromised, bought and paid for, majority by China.

Not compromised.

It’s not much more difficult than this.

Or really being tone deaf to their constituents. The average voter (of either party) does not like to be lied to… I have a hard time believing that Alaskan Republicans voted for alignment with Democrats in the current political climate. I’m all for trying to bridge the divide but without a concrete plan on policy stated UPFRONT I can’t see how it’s possible.

This is basically RINOs signaling to the WEF that they are giving up the fight against the great reset

The rinos/GOPe have always been for the reset and everything we see today. They will oppose what is right in ways that are not obvious - like the lack of support for conservative candidates in the last election. Just enough for appearances, but not enough to win.

No, we actually *can't* have that. It's anathema to the original intent of the Framers. (and conveniently, an artifical majority is handed to the Donkeys of 9-8 when the Republicans actually own the 11-9 MAJORITY.)

Do you remotely understand the concept of "Representative Republic"?

In a coalition case, exactly whose interests are going to be ignored, and whose interest are going to be adopted?

This is usurpation of power and precurser to eliminating the Electoral College -- which is "Democracy" that's no different than the raw votes numbers.

China but the WEF is leading this charge. They’ve stated their intentions for a new world order without the West in a leading position. No conspiracy theory…they dont shut up about their plans.

AND it’s not like these are some drunk rednecks talking about what it’d be like to kidnap some governor or something. These are heads of State, CEOs of Big Tech, CEOs of financial institutions, Heads of Universities, Policy Makers, CEOs of Pharmaceutical Co’s, and the list goes on. They are pulling the levers to create the Great Reset.

"If you collect 100 black ants and 100 red ants and put them in a glass jar nothing will happen, but if you take the jar, shake it violently and leave it on the table, the ants will start killing each other."
-David Attenborough

Who is shaking the jar? Why are all media stories meant to outrage? Ratings? Why do ALL media companies constantly lose money if their ratings actually matter?

I can’t wait to see the reactions of all the liberals cheering the Great Reset when the realize the endgame is the distribute the wealth of the world. Try doing your budgets at the global average salary of <$20K.

Then why formally state a bloc? If they are “crazy” then work with them to help them understand your truth. If their ideas are still crazy then don’t vote for their legislation. It’s really simple …. No need to betray the voters

BINGO.

This is a unconstitutional bullsh*t way of defrauding Alaska's electorate and Representative system of governance.

By pulling this scam, Alaska's political whores (R) are also complicit in a state-level experiment that eliminates the American Electoral College.

(You can smell the corrupt stench from a mile away from tPTB -- you'll notice it's all "in the name of partisanship" ONLY when Republicans have the Majority.)

Odd. It looks to me like seventeen districts elected 17 non-extremists, and three districts elected 3 nutcases. Or do you assert that sane senators should decline to represent their districts just because three DIFFERENT districts elected extremists. Only a fellow extremist would view this thru the lens of matching team jerseys.
