How can I play them on PC without shady bit torrents and things? We are willing to pay money, like $10 or something, for legitimacy. I see them for sale on Amazon where you can use them on newer gaming systems, but not just to play on your PC, unable to find. I think that's weird.

My wife found a place you can play Zelda online, and had about 20 hours into it, able to save games etc, but if you close out and log back in, game erased.

How can I buy one of those games and just play on PC? Particularly Zelda?

By the way, thanks yall for all of the good info for New Orleans, we had a blast! Felix's... yes. Frenchman, reminded me of Athens.

I just bought a N64 off of eBay a couple of weeks ago and all the games I used to have. Well worth the money.

You can legally play all old games like that on emulators. If they aren't selling them its perfectly fine. No need to pay. I have an emulator, not sure which one but I can check later.

You can only legally play emulators and ROMs of games you own. Considering it doesn't sound like he owns any games, it is not legal.

Nintendo does not sell their games on anything they didn't make.

I don't disagree, but he asked for a legal method to play the games. One hasn't been provided yet other than my suggestion to buy the old system he wants to play.

Nope. You can only legally play them if you own the games and even then you technically have to rip the rom yourself.

and BTW, Nintendo IS still selling games such as the original Zelda and Mario 3. You can buy them for $5 a pop for the Wii, WiiU, and 3DS in their online stores.

OP should just buy a Wii on the cheap and buy the games through their Wii Shop Channel before Nintendo shuts it down to shift focus to the WiiU.
