so i tried calling sake cafe and they are disconnected, so im assuming they are closed.
so i went to the one in new orleans about a month ago and am trying to find this same roll somewhere, forgive me if this is common everywhere, i just discovered it.
its called the Sun, Moon and Star roll, choices are tuna salmon or smoked salmon, and it comes with 2 sauces to dip it in... can anyone let me know where they have this? if everywhere then cool

Popeye's has some pretty good dipping sauces, may want to swing by there before getting your roll.

I had a buddy order ranch with his surf and turf roll a couple months ago. Don't think I'll ever go out to eat sushi with him again. He's from Alabama fwiw.

At least there is actually fish in his roll. I have a friend that goes on and on about how much he loves sushi. We go to Little Tokyo and he orders 3 California rolls

would it be offensive to ask a sushi place to make this? if its not on the menu?

i wouldnt personally ask but i couldnt see them getting very offended by the request.
maybe just describe the roll and ask if the have something like it. or just say your friend ate a roll there she loved and describe the one you want. they might have a similar roll or just make it on the spot.
the roll youre talking about is pretty simple though. the only thing not terribly common in rolls is the mintleaf. this might be the equivalent of asking them to make a spicy tuna type roll.
on second thought, buy the sushi chef and yourself a shot to do. after that, a request for your roll should be pretty easy

yea, im not going to hand him the recipe
ill just describe it and see if they can make it happen, if not, no big deal
