Yamaha Jet Boat

Looking to buy a Yamaha AR230 jet boat. Anyone have any good/bad info on these boats. Going to use to ride the lake and pull family and friends on tubes, knee board and wakeboard. It is used but seems to be in really good shape.

I don't anything about them, other than what I just read after a quick search.
What's your particular appeal to a jet boat vs. an. outboard or a stern drive?
Just glancing at the fuel mileage, it looks roughly the same as my Yamaha four stroke 300. Maybe that's a good thing? I dunno.
Maybe the lack of a deadly prop for the family? How's the maintenance vs the other? Looks like it maxes out at 10,000 rpm. Damn!
It WAS the BoatingMag Boat of the Year in 2007. Gotta give it that!
