Wreck last week and front part of my frame is bent on my 2021 Silverado 2500

Woman in a Chevy Impala pulled out in front of me. I T boned her going about 35 MPH. I had a Ranch Hand bumper that saved alot of damage to the front of my truck but it looks like part of the front part of my frame is bent on left side in front of the Torsion bar. Adjuster says it is fixable.
I would have near known the frame was bent if they wouldn't have told me. Anyone with any experience in having a frame straightened on the front part of the frame?

That's usually an easy pull for any body shop. Are you trying to get the frame straightened then DIY the rest of the repair?

No it was the woman's fault so her insurance is paying for the repair's. The body shop doesn't want to pull the Ranch hand bumper so 4 wheel parts is going to pull it off. The body shop will do the work on the truck and then I am going to bring it back to 4 wheel parts to get a new aftermarket bumper. State Farm is paying for all of this. I am probably going to go with a warn ascent bumper so I can put on a winch.

More than likely will have moderate to severe damage CarFax because of frame damage. Need to insist at least half of repair bill for Diminished Value in addition to repair bill

Agreed, I got screwed in a similar scenario. I was t-boned by a red light runner and had the rear axle knocked almost off my 2500hd. Shop had it for 2 months with body and apparently “light frame damage.” Carfax and used dealer reports all had it basically black listed when I tried to trade it in.

Good to know thanks.

Never had a frame pulled up front, but I had a truck with the frame straightened out in the rear after a lady rear ended me years ago. Shop did a good job and it always tracked true. I could never tell it was ever bent.
