Tallow. Ben Franklin introduced them for the oil. Probably the stupidest thing he ever did.

I have 4 crape myrtles. They're a cool tree, but those bastids shed and drop some little things all over the place. And everytime it rains and I get some wind, I'll have 100 little branches in my yard. Could do without them

I love my crepe myrtles. They bring the humming birds to my feeders in the spring.

Do yours shed and drop the little round things everywhere? Mine only have flowers for about a month too.

Yeah but I use black mulch and mine are in the middle of my beds so I don't see them.

tallow tree is THE worst
I can think of many worse. If you have just one, and it's mature, it is excellant for shade and is not unattractive.

Worst would be China Berry. Box Elder is pretty disgusting. Sweetgum sucks. Sycamore is a mess. Magnolia? Cut it down now.

This is Louisiana.
That's like saying hey, lets cook us up some pelican or hey, let's go mow bluebonnets in Texas or hey, let's go to Yosemite and shoot us a bald eagle.

Cut the branches higher and either rake or mulch the leaves.
