Will we see another run on ammo/mags/firearms like 2012-2013?

Obviously different circumstances with SH and the reelection of BHO, but can we expect another craze like in 2012-2013? I hope not, but the gun control mafia is already out in full force. I don't think Obama has the political capital to do anything at this point in his term, but the run on ammo/mags/firearms was driven by consumer fear.

I made a point after all the hysteria to stock up, so Im good. Just wondering what the OB thinks.

Just wish my wife would see it the same way It is one of the rifles on my list that i want to own. I have always like the look and think it would make a damn good tight woods deer / pig rifle

They are awesome rifles. I bought the scout model about 4 years back. Unfortunately during the last ammo craze .308 was just as hard to get as .223 was at that time because you had just as many people buying it.

That said I love shooting that thing. If you go to a range though, the person sitting to your right or to your left will not appreciate it as the M1A vents gas out of the muzzle on the sides and it is loud as hell.

The guy next to me kept flinching at my last range trip with it. He eventually picked his stuff up and moved one stall over to get away from the muzzle blast

There's no way all the neckbeards can afford to play that game again so soon after the last rush. I'm betting some of those guys got tired of losing money sitting in line at Walmart every day at 6 AM for 18-24 months.

What the hell are thinking about? Do eet. Then get the proper tools and maybe a shim kit for the gas piston assembly.

Definitely seeing a "run" on CCW classes.

Every time there's a publicized shooting (Newtown, Paris, etc.) the phone really starts ringing.

This time (San Bernardino) the calls started coming in around 3:00 p.m. yesterday.

Tried buying an AR this morning. Everything I had been looking at and many other sites were sold out before lunch.

once everyone realizes that the government cannot take our guns away maybe it will calm down. the gun and ammo companies owe Obama a big thank you for the last 8 years !

I wouldn't be surprised if things flared up again, but I doubt it will go the same way. I'm a casual recreational shooter (I do it for fun), and really felt the pinch last time.

Recently, prices have come around, and I picked up a few more than I would have previously. I think I'm okay for the short term now.

what has he ever done or said to make you think he's trying to take your guns away? i really don't understand how you think it would even be remotely possible if he wanted to, which nothing he's ever said or done would indicate that he does.

Not nearly as bad - everyone who was on the bubble about getting an AR has got one. It will be good for the manufacturers to reduce stocks of a few black rifle - there are a lot more on the market that there were just 3 or 4 years ago.

Ammo has never recovered, IMHO, from an availability of getting what you want, when you want it. You just have to kind of take what you can get. So, that might just continue for a while.

For example, I haven't been able to find Federal HST 124 grain JHP (arguably the industry standard, standard pressure defense round in the caliber) - anywhere for a few weeks. There was a bundle, about a month ago, with some FMJ.

Magpul has millions of magazines out with distributors now, I think, so, shouldn't be a problem - magazines are consumed like ammo is.
