Two Hogs Down | Bow Hunting

Friday morning, October 20th, was a hunt full of action. Sunrise was 7:09 AM. The first pig took an arrow through the lungs at 7:10. The second pig met her demise at 7:30.

All in all a good day except for them breaking two $12 arrows and one $10 lighted nock

I normally shoot Rage Xtreme broadheads but carry some Meat Seekers for non-deer shots. I was able to switch out my arrow before shooting and was very pleased with the results of the meat seeker. The broadhead punched through both sides of both pigs but the arrow didn't completely pass through (resulting in the 2 broken arrows)

Enjoy

Nice video. I've wanted to try and self film some hunts but can never justify the equipment to do it

You can get into it for fairly cheap. It will get frustrating and all that but when you get the shot and the story all on film, the feeling is great. I just love to share it with my friends and family

Nice! Enjoyed the video.

Gotta hate it when you dont see the blood trail until you find it though.

The shot went in through the shoulder and exited back right behind the lungs. There was diaphragm/stomach blocking the exit hole. I went to the spot of impact, re-watched the video on the camera and tried to follow where she went. I went about 5 yards too far north before entering the woods. Dad and I spread up about 50 yards apart and started walking. It was bigger, mature woods. We walked up on him on the way back about 80 yards from the shot.

The blood was everywhere after that

I had just gone a little too far over. He cut out of the plot sooner than I thought

I'm just giving you shite, knew exactly what you meant. It's way too easy to do it, and frustrating as hell when youve been on your hands and knees for a while, start heading to the truck and come across the red highway
