Wife got a nice one.
Old 8 point.

Antler dent on the hood,

Hair stuck in the rim

About as flush as you can hit one at 65 mph.

Cracked the frame on that side.

Gotta figure out a skull mount with both both fatalities.

Her brother cleaned it. His uncle has had on camera for a while and they estimate he’s 6 or so. The hind that hit the vehicle was ruined, but the rest’ll be sausage. He may have left his uncle the back straps, IDK. I had other shite to deal with.

My wife got a nice sized spike. I had to go put him down. Rump destroyed. Car is still in the shop.

Wow! $12,000 in damage? Just curious.

ETA: Nevermind. Just now saw the cracked frame picture.

I’m not gonna lie, I laughed when I scrolled from the deer hanging pic to the car pic. That said, I hope your wife is ok and sorry to hear about the car

I’ve never seen a deer cleaned head up, arse down.

We haven’t heard from the insurance company. Have no idea if they’ll fix it or not.

Seems like you’d have to start tearing parts off to see what’s all damaged. The radiator is toast, the fan shroud is cracked up, but nothing on the engine looks damaged.

The lower airbag really helped.

Depending on age/mileage I'm thinking you'll be car shopping for Christmas. If it's got over 60-70,000 on it I don't think the insurance company will repair it.

That's called the core support, not the frame. And is easily replaced.

The best way to do it. Guts fall right out instead of getting stuck in the rib cavity.

re: Wife got a nice one.
See that’s why I clean it with the head down. The way I was taught was hang on hind legs, start cutting the cape. Attach to an atv and run the hide up to the neck. I cut the head off and then take the neck roast off. Cut the back strap out, tender loins, then the shoulders. Then cut the ribs with the guts inside off and discard. Then just cut the hind quarters off and your done. Very simple and fast
