We went last week to Hopedale for the first time and we had a lot of difficulty finding the redfish. I was thinking about going to Reggio. Is there any difference in terrains?

Would you mind me asking what general area? North to the Biloxi Marsh area or South?

I would think either would be fine. Haven’t been out there recently but have seen on LAFB people catching reds all over. If you go to Reggio then be careful cause it gets really shallow really fast and you can run your boat into a couple inches of water without realizing it until you’re stuck. I just saw someone caught a limit of reds in ponchartrain this morning. If they’re in ponchartrain then they’re def in all the areas you’ve asked about as well

Delacroix area has been (and most always is) loaded with reds in the grassy areas. Grass is about as thick and prevalent right now as it's ever been but the fish are in it. You could go give that area a shot from Hopedale next time, dont have to run far for sure, just fish weedless.

Saw schools if 5-10 reds working shorelines around lake Robin. Mixed fish. Lots of rats and then a solid fish. They were random. Some were finicky about presentation. Others you could have thrown a door knob and they would have ate

Delacroix. Creature baits. Grass lines. Duck ponds. Found them in stained and clear water last weekend

Eta. Go where everyone else doesn’t. Good bit of pressure on some more popular areas there. I find Reggio to hold plenty of reds but have never seen the same size schools as the other side of bayou tab.
