I don’t have time to read posts below, and I apologize for that. Who are the lawmakers I need to contact to persuade the Governor, or override him? Where’s our Jefferson Parish delegation? It’s time that the people and local politicians stand up to the criminal-driven enterprises that are ruining our family neighborhoods.

Not a damn thing is needed for Constitutional carry, as outlined in the 2nd amendment. The right of the people to keep and bear arms "Shall Not Be Infringed".

Unfortunately, we have allowed this to be interpreted rather awkwardly, and it has lost its very specific and unambiguous meaning.

Note: I know this isn't what the OP meant with his/her/it/them/they/their/attack helicopter/she/he question, but I'm currently roiding on 3 cups of coffee...

It's going to be vetoed today or tomorrow. Then the legislature won't override it.

They would have to form a special session I think to override it.

We'll see if they have nuts or not

Make it issue #1 next session and don't let Roberto play timing games.

Can they? If it came up this year, doesn't that mean that next year's session would only be for fiscal matters?

If he is gonna veto it what’s the wait? Is there a chance he doesn’t do anything and it becomes law. That way he can say, Hey I didn’t sign anything

It’ll be a cold day in hell before he shows us his conservative side some voted for.

The Veto session is automatically triggered, the house or senate would have to vote to not to have it. It is scheduled for July-20-24th, the veto session that is.

So they would specifically have to vote NOT to override something they already voted FOR?
