What is the best brand of electric water heaters?

Looking into replacing my electric water heater soon and wanted to get some recommendations from you guys who have had experience with buying electric water heaters in the recent past. Will probably go with a 50 or 55 gallon tank. I read that some things to consider when buying include...warranty, brass fittings (instead of plastic), anti-scale devices, and glass lined tanks (to reduce corrosion). Are there any other important factors to look for or consider when buying? What do you guys feel is the best "bang for your buck" brand in terms of output efficiency and reliability? Any input is greatly appreciated...TIA!

Have a 50 gallon electric. No problems after 20+ years. Never ever had to touch it in all those years. Got a 30 for my guest house.
Both are Rheem.

I had always had gas water heaters but when Katrina hit I got electricity back way earlier than gas, so I went with a 40 gallon electric Whirlpool model. It's been there since late 2005 when I installed it and have not had any issues with it, but I do flush it yearly to flush out any mineral deposits that accumulate in the bottom of the tank.
You'd be surprised how much crap flushes out.

I just repaired one at a rental and noticed that most share the same types of replaceable elements and thermostats. The efficiency between units is probably due to tank unsulation.
That said, consider tankless if you are replacing. They are more efficient, not much more expensive and will save you some space.

If electric then they are barely more efficient. The pros of tankless electric are, endless how water and space savings.

yep...and there is an anode inside of the tank to prevent corrosion...the "life" of the unit is equal to how long the anode is expected to last.
