What is airsoft?

Is this like those pump toy guns that shot the rubber BBs I had in the 70s? What do people do with them?

I think they come from cheap Red Rider power guns to full auto, high fps BB slingers. I don't under stand the decision to play the airsoft over paintball or vise versa. I guess it is just a way to run around in the woods and a hobby to spend money...

airsoft is more accurate, I was bored at looking at sniper rifles the other day with full power scopes that claimed to be accurate out to 150 ft

the spring loaded hand guns dont hurt too bad. my teenager and his friend were big into this last year. i spent several hundred on his hobby then they just quit playing.

yeah they had little fire fights all over the neighborhood. they had to wear safety glasses, couldnt shoot in the head, face, etc.

yeah, play army. My 18 yo and about 10 of his buddies have wars. Most use the full auto AR and they hurt like hell. Goggles or facvemask is a must. Battery powered motor shoots the BBs
