I'm trying to get better at calling ( i know the less the better, but sometimes you just down right need to learn shite). I say voot, it makes a decent sounding quack, but I can't seem to put together a series of quacks to make a call such as a come back call. Any advice or cd/dvd recommendations will be accepted.

Learn how to compress air using your diaphragm. With your mouth wide open start exhaling and slam the flow off tight without closing your mouth. Also, if your cheeks are swelling like Louis Armstrong when you blow you're doing it wrong. After you get used to using your diaphragm you can also use your tongue to regulate how air enters the call.

Tick tick tick for slower "one duck" feeds
Two hat for quacks
Dad dad dad dad dad for come backs

My chessie is standing in front of me about to shite himself because he thinks we're going huntin now

I do a "vhoot" but make a throaty sound so it vibrates a good bit. Like a deep belly laugh.

Same with tikka tikka tikka on feed calls

Wham has ducks. It's a wma, but not what I would call timber. Hell, I've hunted fields more so far. If sage would ever get any water in it, it'll be on!!
