I have 2 spots in my yard that are thinner and yellower than the rest. They don't grow near as fast as the rest of the yard. Any ideas? Bugs?

This is my normal yard

This is the larger yellow spot

Small yellow spot

Thank all.

I don’t know. But you would have a heart attack if you saw my yard right now.

Thank goodness for the buttonweed. Which is what I think it taking over that spot where the dogs piss. Rest of the yard is fine. Janky's yard looks incredible! Hope he gets some good advice.

That's the secret tunnel entrances/exits for the squirrels to use to ravage fruit trees nearby.

Are they always like that, or just recently? Looks like a "hot spot" to me. An area that wicks moisture quicker (sandy soil) or is just hydrophobic.
