What weight main line? I fish 30lb Power Pro and tip with 20 or 25lb fluoro - Any heavier and the difference between the line diameters gets big enough that I don't feel comfortable tying my usual uni to uni.

15-20. 30lb tends to make a large know and will get hung up in the rod eyes.

New question: how to tie the two together? I googled and went with the double-uni knot. Is this best?

Yes, I put a drop of superglue. Not sure if I really need to but with the issues I had with the braids when they first came out it gives me some comfort.

The braid seems to bind up well. I was more worried about the fluoro end.

Thanks

The double uni will never fail you if you do it right.

Unless you are going after some major game fish, I wouldn't worry about putting the glue on there.
I guess if you're rigging everything up the night or day before, glue wouldn't hurt. Usually, we're on the boat, changing one rig out for another and don't worry about it.

It's out of habit and for piece of mind.
