No reports, but hopefully if you have water, you should have a good hunt. Still really dry out there

Not sure what zone Venice is in but I was fishing Saturday and it sounded like a war zone.

Youth hunt for the East got a lot of reports of mallards, pintails, grays, and teal. Could be a good year for the state. Just gotta have water.

All my buddies youths in Monroe are all in college now so they don't get to take, aka...shoot, with the boys anymore for Youth weekend. They did go out today to though to brush the flaps on the pit out on 15 which is honestly just slang for going out on a Sunday to drink and see if there are ducks out on the farm. Oh, they are loaded.

West Zone report. Killed the shite out of them in Johnson Bayou.

Ah, Johnson Bayou, let me count the ways...............

Mid 70's to early 80's OMG did we have some fantastic hunts there. Take Hwy 27 south to Hwy 82, turn right and go a couple miles to the second canal. That's where we put in and had the section on the west side of that canal. Great times where had and many ducks were killed....the old 100 point system.

Limits in 3 blinds Saturday in Hackberry mostly all teal, not many big ducks.

Today was slower. Had one blind with 3 man limit and the other 2 blinds close by struggled. Weird how that happens

Guys in our lease struggled today as well. All the water blew out the marsh last night and dekes were sitting on mud. 3 man blind had 9.

Hunted Venice all weekend. Let the crowds have it until 9 am Saturday caught trout then hunted got an easy limit hunting when everyone was leaving and the leading edge of the front.

Sunday was disappointing for the weather change that came through I expected GREAT things. Hunted a different spot with little Hammer to keep him warm we shot birds but it was nothing like I had hoped for. I know of several that killed limits Sunday but most struggled. Very disappointing considering the weather we had.
